Hypo Ball Python: Genetics and Pairing Odds
Hypo is a recessive gene. A ball python needs two copies to look Hypo; with one copy it looks normal and is called het Hypo. Pair two hets and about a quarter of the babies are visual Hypo, while the normal-looking siblings are each 66% likely to be het. Breed a visual to a normal and every baby is het, which is how most Hypo projects start.
