Jolt Ball Python: Genetics and Pairing Odds
Jolt is a co-dominant (incomplete dominant) gene. One copy gives the Jolt look, and two copies make the Super Jolt, a stronger version of it. Bred to a normal, a Jolt gives about half Jolt babies; a Super Jolt gives Jolt babies every time.
In Lock and Lay, Jolt can't be bought at the start. It turns up only as a spontaneous mutation, from a lucky egg, and the first breeder to hatch one gets their name on the discovery board.
